--- title: "Moderation Panel" slug: "moderation" category: "Servers" order: 7 description: "Use the CAD panel to observe ER:LC players, staff duty state, and moderation context." --- # 1 - Introduction The Moderation Panel is the CAD-style live panel for server activity. It is distinct from [Infractions](/docs/infractions), which are internal staff discipline records. Member discipline actions such as warnings, kicks, bans, and BOLO records are primarily handled through [Logs](/docs/logs) and ER:LC commands. Use the panel to inspect players, staff, CAD chat, ER:LC state, and incident context. Think of this page as the operator view. It helps staff understand what is happening right now, while logs and infractions store the permanent records. A moderator may use the panel to identify a player, then create a log or run an ER:LC command based on what happened. Because the panel combines several CADLY features, access depends on multiple settings: CAD permissions, ER:LC availability, logs permissions, and the active server slot. ## 1.1 - Table of Contents | Section | What it covers | |---|---| | [Panel Overview](#2---panel-overview) | What the moderation panel shows | | [Moderation Actions](#3---moderation-actions) | How warnings, kicks, and bans are recorded | | [Settings](#4---settings--configuration) | Related permissions and settings | | [Troubleshooting](#5---troubleshooting-common-issues) | Common access issues | ## 1.2 - Links to Related Documents - [Logs](/docs/logs) - [ER:LC Integration](/docs/erlc) - [Infractions](/docs/infractions) # 2 - Panel Overview The panel requires CAD access for the active server slot. It uses the selected Server A or Server B context and depends on the server's CAD and ER:LC settings. You can use it to view current ER:LC players, staff duty state, server activity, CAD chat, dispatch context, and logs depending on enabled modules and permissions. Server slot matters. A user with CAD access for Server A does not automatically have Server B access. If your community uses dual servers, assign permissions intentionally so staff only see the slots they are allowed to moderate. If mono-server mode is on, Server B is hidden across most CAD and ER:LC workflows. Turn mono-server mode off only when you actually run a second ER:LC server slot. ```cadly-mock type: status title: Moderation panel state meta: CAD > Server A status: Staff access granted items: - Visible Players | 31 - Active Calls | 4 - On-Duty Staff | 14 - Recent Logs | 9 today ``` # 3 - Moderation Actions ## 3.1 - Warnings, Kicks, and Bans Use [Logs](/docs/logs) for moderation records such as Warning, Kick, Ban BOLO, and Ban. The default log types include note, roleplay log, warning, kick, ban BOLO, and ban. Use [ER:LC Integration](/docs/erlc) for live in-game commands such as `:pm`, `:kick`, `:ban`, `:tban`, and `:unban` when you have the matching command permission. For a clean audit trail, run the live command and create a log entry. The command affects the game server; the log explains why it happened and lets leadership review it later. ```cadly-mock type: flow title: Moderation audit flow meta: Live command plus record status: Recommended steps: - Run command | Staff executes the approved ER:LC moderation command. - Create log | Staff records target, reason, location, and evidence. - Review later | Leadership audits the command and record together. ``` ## 3.2 - User History User history is built from logs and feature records. Search by Roblox ID, Roblox username, or linked Discord member in the logs tools when investigating repeat incidents. # 4 - Settings / Configuration ## 4.1 - Access Settings ### CAD View Permissions Grants access to the CAD and moderation panel for Server A or Server B. **Default:** disabled until assigned through CADLY roles | **Requires:** none ### Logs Create, Edit, Delete Controls who can create, edit, or delete moderation log records. **Default:** disabled until assigned through CADLY roles | **Requires:** none ### ER:LC Command Permissions Controls which staff can run moderator, administrator, and owner-tier ER:LC commands for each server slot. **Default:** disabled until assigned through CADLY roles | **Requires:** none # 5 - Troubleshooting Common Issues ## 5.1 - I Cannot Access the Panel Make sure you have View Server plus the correct CAD view permission for the selected server slot. Server B also requires mono-server mode to be off. ## 5.2 - Kick or Ban Is Not Available Live in-game actions are ER:LC commands. Check ER:LC is enabled, an API key is configured, and your CADLY role grants the command tier. # 6 - Getting Support and Resources If you need help, several resources are available: - [CADLY Documentation](/docs): Detailed reference for all features. - [CADLY Support Server](https://discord.gg/cadly): Join for **fast help** from the team. - [CADLY Email Support](mailto:admin@cadly.me): Reach out **via email** for direct support.
